Woodcot Lodge

Woodcot Lodge provides personal and nursing care for up to 85 people, primarily those requiring short-term assessment following hospital discharge before returning home or moving to another setting. At inspection, 57 people were resident at the home. Staff had completed required recruitment checks and received appropriate training, including those responsible for dispensing medication. The home maintained systems to minimise infection risks and learn from accidents and incidents.

The home was generally clean and well maintained, with care and treatment planned to ensure people's safety and welfare. The registered manager demonstrated good understanding of responsibilities under the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards. While some areas requiring attention were identified during the inspection, the manager confirmed these were being addressed through their development plan.
