Wisteria Lodge

Wisteria Lodge provides personal care for up to 30 older people, with 24 residents at the time of inspection. The home managed a recent COVID-19 outbreak effectively, implementing regular testing for residents and staff in line with government guidance. Those who tested positive were isolated in their own rooms with ensuite facilities, while others maintained contact with family through video calls, phone calls and emails. A designated visiting pod was prepared to support safe visits from relatives and friends when appropriate.

Staff had received training on infection prevention and control practices and proper use of personal protective equipment, which inspectors observed being implemented throughout the home. PPE stations were positioned throughout the building with sufficient stocks of appropriate equipment and cleaning materials. Enhanced cleaning schedules were followed, and social distancing signage encouraged residents to maintain safe distances.
