Winslow

Winslow is a nursing home accommodating up to six people with learning disabilities and/or autism, some of whom have additional mental health needs. Residents have their own individual apartments and receive high levels of staff support.

During inspection, fire safety was not regularly monitored and managed, creating potential risks to residents. Concerns were shared with the Fire Prevention Officer. The service's processes for reporting and responding to safeguarding concerns were not always effective, resulting in delays when referring matters to the Local Authority. Governance systems were not fully embedded within the service, leading to overall quality shortfalls.
