The Clough Care Home

The Clough provides accommodation and support for up to 32 older people in a detached property with large gardens in a quiet residential area of Bolton. The home has 30 rooms, two of which are shared, and on inspection day 23 people were using the service.

Systems for safeguarding people from harm were robust, with staff completing regular safeguarding training and demonstrating awareness of how to report concerns or poor practice. Risk assessments were completed for each individual and kept up to date with regular reviews. Health and safety certificates were in place with regular checks completed, medicines were managed safely, and appropriate infection control measures were implemented throughout the home.
