Windsor Court

Windsor Court is a purpose-built home providing personal care for up to eight people with learning or physical disabilities in a residential area of Allerton. At the time of inspection, six people were using the service. The home was clean, tidy and well ventilated, with a large enclosed garden where people spend time outdoors and participate in a range of activities. Staff numbers were adequate to support people safely.

The home demonstrated strong infection prevention and control practices. Everyone using the service and most staff had received their first COVID-19 vaccination, with the provider supporting regular testing including lateral flow tests for staff. There was a good supply of personal protective equipment including aprons, gloves, masks and hand sanitiser. Staff had received infection prevention and control training covering correct PPE use, with ongoing checks to ensure they continued following best practice guidelines. The provider's infection prevention and control policies and procedures were regularly updated to reflect government guidance changes.
