Wimbledon Beaumont

Wimbledon Beaumont provides personal and nursing care for up to 49 older people, including those with dementia and physical disabilities, in one adapted building. At inspection, 44 people were using the service. Staff were safely recruited and understood how to report signs of abuse. Potential risks to residents were clearly assessed, allowing staff to mitigate them effectively. Medicines were administered on time and in line with prescribing guidelines. The home supported people to have maximum choice and control over their lives, using the least restrictive practices in their best interests.

However, staffing levels were not always consistent in meeting people's needs. People, relatives and staff reported feeling more staff were needed, and inspectors recommended the provider review staffing levels. Quality assurance checks also required more detailed findings to identify issues and support improvements.
