Whetstone Grange

Whetstone Grange provides residential care and accommodation to 23 people aged 65 and over, with capacity for up to 38 residents. At the time of inspection, the service had a newly employed manager who had not yet registered with the Care Quality Commission, placing legal responsibility for the service's operation and care quality with the provider.

Quality assurance systems and processes required improvement and were not yet fully embedded. Not all legally required notifications were consistently submitted to CQC. However, the manager and provider demonstrated openness and transparency, acknowledged the areas needing improvement, and were actively taking steps to address these issues.
