Woodway House

Woodway House is a residential care home in Leicestershire providing accommodation and care for up to 32 people, with 25 people living there at the time of the assessment. The CQC rated the home as Requires Improvement, finding that governance systems did not always give accurate oversight, medicines were not always managed safely, and some staff training and audits needed strengthening. A breach relating to safe care and treatment was identified.

Despite this, inspectors found people were treated with kindness and compassion, and safeguarding was well understood. Relatives spoke warmly of staff and the homely atmosphere, praised the food and cleanliness, and felt their family members were safe, though feedback on staffing levels was mixed.
