Westfield Residential Home

Westfield Residential Home provides accommodation and care for up to 23 people living with dementia. The service is family-run and was operating at full capacity during the inspection. The registered manager has held the position for over 15 years and is actively supported by the director. The management demonstrated a clear vision and commitment to delivering quality care and continuous improvements.

Care workers kept people safe through regular monitoring and risk assessment of safety equipment and utilities, with effective infection control measures in place. The home includes a communal lounge and dining room alongside quieter areas where people can sit peacefully. Bedrooms were personalised to reflect residents' preferences. However, the quality assurance systems in place were not being used effectively to identify trends and lessons learnt from incidents and feedback.
