The Rowans Care Home

The Rowans Care Home provides personal care for up to 53 people, some living with dementia. At inspection, 41 people were using the service. The home had implemented comprehensive safety measures including temperature checks, health screening for visitors, and supervised visits to ensure infection control compliance. Staff maintained social distancing where possible, with risk assessments in place for people unable to follow guidance. Furniture had been rearranged throughout the home, including the dining area and staff room, to support safe distancing.

The home supported people to maintain contact with families and friends through phone calls, video calls, and window visits. Special visiting procedures were in place to enable relatives to visit people at the end of their lives. Safe admission processes following best practice guidance were established to protect both new residents and existing service users.
