The CQC found the service was performing well overall, with a good learning culture, enough suitably trained staff and a clean, well-maintained environment. Medicines were not always managed safely, though improvements began during the assessment.

Inspectors found people were treated with kindness, involved in decisions about their care and supported to maintain relationships and preferences. Staff were praised for their exceptional support of LGBT+ residents and for promoting a diverse, inclusive workplace. People described feeling safe, valued and well known by consistent, long-serving staff.
