Westbury Lodge

Westbury Lodge is a registered care home providing accommodation with nursing or personal care, supporting people with learning disabilities and autistic people. At the time of the assessment, eight people were using the service. The CQC visited following concerns raised about the home, focusing on safety and leadership.

Inspectors found that people were not always supported to have maximum choice and control, and staff did not always act in people's best interests or respect their privacy when entering bedrooms. Medicines records were not always accurate, and some unidentified health and safety issues were found in the environment. Staff received good support and supervision, and people said they were happy and that staff were good.

The service was in breach of regulations relating to safe care and governance.
