Starbrook

Starbrook provides personal care to six people with learning disabilities and autism in one adapted building. The service experienced significant staff shortages at the end of 2021 due to vacancies and COVID-19 absences, which limited people's opportunities to access activities outside the home. During this period, staff focused on supporting residents with more activities within the home and its grounds. The management team recruited additional temporary staff and implemented a rolling recruitment programme to fill permanent posts. Relatives had expressed concerns about the staffing situation and raised these with management.
