About Wavertree Nursing and Care Home

Wavertree Nursing and Care Home is a nursing home in Liverpool, providing care for adults, including people living with dementia. Full details of the CQC's most recent findings are set out below.

Wavertree Nursing and Care Home provides personal care and nursing support for up to 50 adults, including people living with dementia. Following concerns about personal care, activities and culture, the CQC carried out a focused assessment and found the rating had dropped from good to requires improvement, with three breaches relating to safe care, staffing and governance.

Inspectors found medicines were not always managed safely, risks were not consistently assessed, and audits had failed to pick up environmental and fire safety issues. Staff recruitment and training also fell short. However, people and relatives spoke warmly of kind, respectful care, and the provider had begun addressing the concerns raised.
