The provider invested in powered air-purifying respirators (PAPRs) for staff providing care to people with suspected or confirmed COVID-19, offering the highest level of protection. The matron delivered practical training to 88 care staff in small groups so they could become accustomed to wearing the respirator helmets and to help people adjust to seeing staff in this equipment.
