Banbury Heights Nursing Home

Banbury Heights Nursing Home provides personal and nursing care to up to 58 people, including older and younger people with dementia, physical disabilities, sensory impairments, mental health needs, learning disabilities or autism. The service operates across three floors in one adapted building, with 47 people using the service at the time of inspection.

Staff did not always support people to have maximum choice and control over their lives, and policies and systems did not consistently support least restrictive practice. Care plans and risk assessments sometimes lacked relevant, up-to-date information needed to provide safe, effective care. However, medicines management had improved and people were supported safely with their medications. Staff had been safely recruited with appropriate police checks and references completed before starting work.
