Waltham House Care Home

Waltham House Care Home provides personal care to up to 33 older people, including those living with dementia. At inspection, 23 people were using the service. Quality monitoring systems help check various areas of the home, though improvements in monitoring records were identified. People were happy with the care they received, felt safe and well looked after. Staff had been safely recruited and received training in safeguarding, understanding their responsibilities to protect people from abuse. Management provided regular guidance and support to staff, and people and staff spoke positively about the service's leadership. Care plans and risk assessments were in place for known risks, kept up to date and regularly reviewed. People received support to take their medicines safely as prescribed.
