Vine House

Vine House provides accommodation and personal care for up to 14 people in one adapted building with bedrooms over 2 floors. At inspection, 13 people were using the service. People felt safe and relatives praised the staff team for their care. Staff received induction training and completed various courses to ensure they had the skills needed to support people safely.

However, risks to people's health and safety were not always identified and medicines were not always managed and stored safely. Communal areas were unattended for some time during inspection, and no action had been taken regarding one staff member lacking references. Infection control processes were followed and visits were actively encouraged. The provider assessed people's needs before they started using the service and worked well with other healthcare professionals. Staff supported people to have maximum choice and control of their lives, treating them with dignity and respect while involving them in their care planning.
