Church View Residential Home

Church View provides personal care for up to 30 older people and those living with dementia in a single-storey adapted building. At inspection, 20 people were using the service.

While people felt safe and staff were recruited safely with good knowledge of safeguarding concerns, there were significant gaps in safety systems. Staffing levels at night were insufficient to ensure people's safety, and risk assessments were not always in place or updated when people's needs changed. Medicines were not managed safely in line with prescribers' directions, and infection prevention and control practices did not consistently follow good practice guidance.
