Vallance Residential Care Home

Vallance Residential Care Home provides residential care for older people, some of whom are living with dementia. The CQC rated the service Good overall, an improvement on the previous inspection, which had identified concerns around keeping people safe and the robustness of quality monitoring systems.

Inspectors found these issues had been resolved. People felt safe, well cared for and treated with kindness, with friendly relationships evident between staff and residents. Medicines were managed safely, the environment was clean and pleasant, and care plans were person-centred and up to date.

Staff were described as dedicated, well trained and enthusiastic, and quality assurance systems supported ongoing improvement.
