Brighton & Hove City Council - The Beach House

The Beach House is a residential care home providing personal care to people living with learning disabilities and physical disabilities. At the time of inspection, five people were resident, though the service is registered to support up to 14. It offers both permanent placements and short breaks or respite services, as well as emergency placements for people in crisis. The home is larger than typical domestic properties, but its design fits sensitively into the residential area with no identifying signage outside.

People and their relatives reported feeling safe in the service and expressed confidence in staff's skills and experience. Staff were discouraged from wearing uniforms when coming and going with people, contributing to the home's discreet integration within the community.
