About Barford Court

Barford Court is a residential care home in Brighton and Hove, providing personal care for older people, including some living with dementia. The findings below set out the CQC's most recent assessment of the service.

Barford Court is a residential care home providing personal care for up to 40 people, some of whom live with dementia. On the day of inspection, 37 people were living at the service. The home consists of four separate houses, allowing residents to remain in colour-coded zones with staff allocated to specific zones to reduce infection risk.

Clear signage marks zone boundaries throughout the building. Each resident has a colour-coded and numbered button sewn into their clothes, enabling staff to separate laundry items and ensure residents receive back their own clothing, minimising cross-infection risks.
