Upton Grange is a residential care home supporting up to 52 people, including those living with dementia. At inspection, 51 people were resident in the home. Most risks to residents were properly assessed, monitored and recorded in care plans, though COVID-19 risk assessments had been archived without evidence of completion.

The registered manager agreed to review this immediately.

Residents described the home as a safe place. The building and equipment were well-maintained, and staffing levels were sufficient with safe recruitment procedures in place. Safeguarding procedures were established and staff understood their responsibilities in protecting people from harm.
