Hillgrove Residential Home

Hillgrove Residential Home provides accommodation and personal care for up to 23 people, including some living with dementia. Following concerns raised about people's safety, inspectors carried out a responsive assessment and found two breaches of regulations relating to safe care and treatment, including risk assessment, safe environments and staff training. The provider also remained in breach of regulations on good governance, with no improvement since the previous assessment.

Despite these shortfalls, the CQC found people were treated with kindness, dignity and respect, and relatives spoke positively about staff knowledge and continuity. Families felt welcomed and involved in care reviews. A new manager had recently started, and an action plan has been requested to address the ongoing concerns.
