Trelowen Manor

Manor House Care Home Ltd provides accommodation with personal care for up to 16 mainly older people, some living with dementia. At the time of inspection, 11 people were using the service, supported by staff who understood their needs. The home is located in one adapted building over two floors.

Staff effectively identified and monitored risks, protecting people while supporting their independence. When people's needs changed, the service involved other professionals to help support staff and made environmental adjustments accordingly. However, communication with families about changing needs required improvement, with one relative expressing disappointment about a delay in being informed. The registered manager acknowledged this issue and committed to addressing it immediately. The home would benefit from continued attention to maintaining and decorating the environment to an appropriate standard.
