Kingston House

Kingston House provides personal care for up to three people with learning disabilities in a detached two-storey house with passenger lifts. At inspection, two people were living at the service. The home had facilities designed to support residents' needs, and people were supported to make decisions by staff who communicated in ways that met their individual needs. Residents had choices about their living environment and were able to personalise their rooms. The service maintained a safe, clean environment that met people's physical needs.

However, the inspection identified significant concerns. People's medicines were not always managed safely, and recruitment checks for new staff were not sufficiently robust. These issues meant the service was not adequately meeting key safeguarding principles required for supporting people with learning disabilities.
