Barnfield House

Barnfield House is a residential care home providing personal care to up to 18 people with mental health needs. At the time of inspection, 14 people were using the service. The home was registered to provide support to people with learning disabilities, though none were currently in residence and the provider intended to remove this from their registration.

People were safe at the service, with staff demonstrating understanding of how to protect them from abuse and confidence in raising health and welfare concerns. Risk assessments covered both individual needs and the physical environment, with appropriate mitigation measures in place. The home had recruited staff safely and maintained sufficient staffing levels to provide required support.
