Tower View Residential Home

Tower View Residential Home, in Wiltshire, is a small stepdown service supporting up to three people with mental health conditions, learning disabilities and autistic people, helping them move toward more independent living. The CQC rated the home Requires Improvement overall. Staff were found to be kind and knowledgeable, people felt involved in their care planning, and professionals were positive about the support provided.

However, inspectors found people were not being helped to build key independence skills such as cooking, shopping or cleaning, with meals instead brought in from a nearby sister service. The environment also fell short, with a cold lounge, poor lighting and little food kept in the home, issues leaders had not identified before the assessment.
