Dunraven House and Lodge

Dunraven House and Lodge provides accommodation with nursing and personal care for up to 33 adults, including people living with dementia, mental health conditions, physical disabilities, sensory impairments and learning disabilities. Inspectors found previous breaches relating to safety, safeguarding, person-centred care and governance had been resolved, with staff understanding risk and working well with healthcare professionals. Staffing was sufficient during the day, though only two staff supported all 33 people after 8.

People and relatives spoke positively about staff and recent improvements to activities and community access. However, some residents felt they lacked choice and control, needing permission to access areas or drinks, and some disliked the décor. The CQC found further work was needed to embed person-centred culture and independence.
