Thomas Owen House

Thomas Owen House is a care home registered to provide nursing care for up to 35 people, specialising in support for those with mental health needs. The CQC rated the service Good overall, finding improvements since the previous assessment in how medicines and risks were managed. Care records were accurate and up to date, staffing levels were sufficient, and the environment was safe and clean.

Inspectors found an open, person-centred culture, with kind staff who supported people's choice and independence. People and relatives spoke positively about their experience, and residents were helped to stay healthy, take part in meaningful activities and access health professionals. Leadership and staff oversight were effective, and people were protected from the risk of abuse.
