Thomas Owen House

Thomas Owen House is a care home specialising in support for people with mental health needs, registered to provide nursing care for up to 35 people. During the inspection, 33 people were living at the home on the first day and 34 on the second day.

The management of medicines was found to be safe, though inspectors asked the registered manager to review the system for administering medicines when people were away from the home, which was subsequently updated. Improvements had been made to the maintenance of premises and equipment. However, the fire risk assessment required more robust review and the registered manager was asked to update it.
