Croft House Care Home

Croft House Care Home provides accommodation and personal care for older people, including those living with dementia, nursing needs and physical disabilities. The CQC rated the home Requires Improvement overall, finding shortfalls in safety and leadership. Inspectors found risks around skin integrity, continence and mobility were not always identified, staffing levels were often insufficient, and infection control and medicines management fell short.

Some people told inspectors they did not always feel safe, citing poor transitions between services, unreliable agency staff and a poorly maintained environment. Governance and oversight were found to be inconsistent. However, care planning, independence and choice were assessed as good, with people describing positive relationships with regular staff and control over daily decisions.
