The Woodlands Care Home

The Woodlands Care Home provides personal and nursing care for up to 40 people. During inspection, 38 people were using the service. The home maintained strong infection control procedures for visitors, including healthcare professionals and relatives. Staff supported people to stay connected with family through video calls and telephone calls, and the service had a dedicated visiting pod for safe in-person visits. The home accommodated end of life visits in accordance with current guidance.

A clear testing programme was in place for both staff and residents, allowing swift action when positive cases were identified, with robust monitoring systems for retesting. The service was actively participating in the COVID-19 vaccine rollout, with several staff members and residents having received their first dose.
