The Willows Nursing Home

The Willows Nursing Home in Walsall is a nursing home providing care and support to older people, including some living with dementia and physical disabilities, and can accommodate up to 48 people. The CQC rated the service Good overall, finding that safeguarding, medicines management, and infection prevention were handled safely, and that staff were kind, caring and supported people to remain independent. Governance had also improved since the last inspection, resolving a previous breach.

Inspectors did note some shortfalls: staffing levels were not always sufficient to respond promptly to people's needs, which limited choice and person-centred care for some residents. People and relatives told the CQC they felt safe and well cared for, and knew how to raise concerns with the management team.
