Dovedale Court

Dovedale Court provides personal care with nursing to predominantly older people, though it also accommodates younger adults and people with dementia. The service is registered for 76 people and had 70 residents at the time of inspection.

Inspectors identified concerns with medication management. Some people were not receiving medicines safely or in accordance with their health needs and prescriber's instructions. For certain medicines, there were no written protocols to guide staff on preparation and administration. Internal audits had failed to identify these medication management issues during the inspection.
