The Sycamores

The Sycamores provides personal care for older people and those living with dementia, accommodating up to 60 people across two floors in one adapted building. At the time of inspection, 46 people were using the service.

Inspectors identified concerns with medicine management and storage systems, which were not always safe. The environment was not consistently safe or suitable for residents' needs, and activities were not reliably accessible to all people. However, the provider and registered manager responded promptly to these concerns, implementing immediate improvements and developing plans for further enhancements.

Staff received training to recognise risks and signs of abuse, and staffing levels were maintained at safe levels to support residents.
