The Springs Care Home

The Springs Care Home accommodates 65 older people living with dementia across three floors. The ground floor provides residential support while the two upper floors offer nursing care. At inspection, 56 people were living at the home.

The home's quality assurance systems had failed to identify shortfalls in reviewing and updating people's care plans to ensure they reflected current needs. Improvements were required in staff guidance for applying medicines, with the provider's procedures not consistently ensuring all staff had adequate knowledge or adherence to safe practice.
