The Priory Nursing and Residential Home

The home provides accommodation and personal care to up to 39 people. During inspection, the service had implemented comprehensive infection control measures including dividing the home into zones with separate staff assignments to prevent cross-contamination. A dedicated testing facility had been established on the grounds for staff and visitors, with vaccine evidence and negative lateral flow tests required upon arrival. PPE stations were positioned throughout the service outside bedrooms, and staff consistently wore appropriate protective equipment. Individual risk assessments were in place for both people and staff regarding COVID-19 risk factors, with regular testing and vaccination programmes in place. The manager maintained regular communication with relatives about changes to the service, and visits were facilitated in accordance with current guidance.
