The Paddocks

The Paddocks is a care home that accommodates and supports up to 8 people with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs. At inspection, 7 people were living there, each with their own bedroom and access to shared communal spaces including lounges, a kitchen and garden area. The home prioritises maximising people's choice, control and independence. Staff support people in the least restrictive way possible while ensuring their best interests are met, and people receive their medicines safely and as prescribed. Following the previous inspection, the provider made improvements to home safety. The inspection identified that improvements were needed to processes for investigating accidents and incidents, with staff meeting minutes showing no discussion of these matters or prevention strategies. After inspection, the provider sent evidence demonstrating they had implemented changes to strengthen accident and incident reporting procedures.
