The Farmhouse

The Farmhouse is a residential care home providing accommodation and personal care for up to seven people with a learning disability. At the time of the assessment, five people were living there, each with their own bedroom and access to shared lounges, a kitchen and a garden.

This focused assessment followed earlier concerns about record keeping and assessments. The CQC found improvements had been made, with previous breaches relating to risk assessments, safeguarding, recruitment and governance now met. Staff were trained, supported and deployed safely, and medicines were managed well, though caring and responsiveness still require improvement.
