The Old Vicarage

The Old Vicarage provides accommodation and personal care for young adults with learning disabilities and autism across two units. At inspection, 13 people were living there out of a capacity of 14. The service comprises separate residential areas: the main house has four bedrooms plus three first-floor apartments, while a second unit contains five apartments and a two-bedroom cottage.

Each apartment is self-contained with its own entrance, bedroom, bathroom and living space, with dedicated staff teams and communal areas for each unit.

However, inspectors found that people were not always kept safe from the risk of abuse and had sometimes been left without necessary support, placing them at risk of harm. Most relatives reported their family members received safe care generally, though some expressed concerns about frequent management changes that led to inconsistencies in how risks were managed.
