Sternhill Paddock

Sternhill Paddock is a residential care home in Nottinghamshire supporting younger adults with learning disabilities and autism, mental health conditions and physical disabilities. The CQC rated the service outstanding overall, noting exceptional, highly personalised care that promoted independence, choice and meaningful goals, alongside good practice in safety and effectiveness of care.

Inspectors found a warm, empowering culture where staff developed creative, individualised communication methods, including personalised Makaton signs, helping people express themselves and build confidence. Relatives described marked improvements in engagement and family contact, and medicines and staff recruitment were managed safely.
