About The Old Vicarage

The Old Vicarage is a residential care home in Kent, providing personal and nursing care to older people, including those living with dementia. Further details on the CQC's most recent findings are set out below.

The Old Vicarage provides personal and nursing care to 24 people aged 65 and over, including those living with dementia, with capacity for up to 39 residents. People reported feeling safe and described staff as kind, with effective safeguarding measures in place to protect residents from abuse, harm and discrimination. Health risks were assessed and managed, and the environment was maintained to high standards of cleanliness with staff following infection control guidance including regular Covid-19 testing.

Staff were safely recruited and present in sufficient numbers to meet people's needs without rushing residents. The home maintained a relaxed and calm atmosphere where people and relatives spoke positively about both the quality of care provided and the kindness of the staff team.
