About The Old Manor House

The Old Manor House is a residential care home in Cornwall, providing personal care to older people, including some living with dementia. The findings below set out what the CQC observed at its most recent inspection.

The Old Manor House provides personal care to up to 14 people, some of whom have dementia. At the time of inspection, 10 people were using the service. The home had systems in place to protect people from abuse, and people felt safe in their care.

Medicine management systems were generally safe, though the storage area was small and cramped with equipment, making temperature difficult to manage. Staff completed risk assessments to help identify and minimise risks people faced. A recently introduced electronic medicines monitoring system was being reviewed to ensure records remained accurate.
