Chypons Residential Home

Chypons Residential Home provides care for up to 27 older people, with 24 people living there at the time of assessment. The CQC previously took enforcement action over shortfalls in Deprivation of Liberty procedures and recruitment checks, but inspectors found these issues had since been resolved.

Staffing levels were sufficient, medicines were managed safely and infection control was effective. Staff were described as kind and responsive, people felt safe and comfortable, and residents enjoyed regular activities, visiting entertainers and staff pets. The home is now rated Good overall.
