The Meadows Care Home

The Meadows Care Home provides nursing and personal care for up to 34 people, primarily older people and those with physical disabilities, across two floors of an adapted building. At inspection, 32 people were using the service.

Inspectors found that risks to people had not always been adequately managed. Care records did not consistently show that staff were following people's care plans to provide effective and timely interventions for known risks. Records lacked documentation of what interventions, if any, staff provided when people became distressed before administering anti-psychotic medicines. Additionally, medicine administration systems were not always effective in demonstrating that people had received their medicines as prescribed.
