The Hawthorns Care Centre

The Hawthorns Care Centre is a nursing home accommodating up to 73 people, including older adults and those living with dementia. The service operates from one adapted building across three floors and was caring for 66 people at inspection.

Inspectors found that medicines were not always managed safely throughout the service. Some aspects of health and safety and environmental risks were not managed effectively. Leadership and governance required improvement to ensure audits were effective in identifying risks and promoting improvement, with quality assurance measures not always robust.
