South Haven Lodge Care Home

South Haven Lodge Care Home provides nursing and residential care for up to 46 older people, including those living with dementia. At the time of inspection, 15 people were using the service. The CQC rated the home Requires Improvement overall, finding a continued breach relating to medicines management, with records not always giving staff clear guidance on how to give medicines safely.

Care plans also contained some contradictory information.

Inspectors found staffing levels were adequate and recruitment followed proper procedures, and the environment was clean and well maintained. People spoke positively about their care, feeling safe, respected and involved in decisions, with approachable managers and staff who knew them well as individuals.
