Oak Lodge Care Home

Oak Lodge Care Home provides personal and nursing care for older people, including those living with dementia, in a single adapted building with an enclosed garden. At the time of inspection, 62 people were living there. The home had faced staffing challenges related to the COVID-19 pandemic, which the registered manager addressed through recruitment and retention initiatives to support staff wellbeing. Adequate staffing levels were in place to meet people's needs, with the manager monitoring requirements and responding to feedback about agency staff quality and communication. Staff were observed to be very attentive and knew people well, working diligently to ensure their busyness did not negatively impact the care provided.
