The Hamlet

The Hamlet provides residential and respite support for up to nine people with learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities or mental health needs. The service had implemented robust infection prevention and control processes, with staff trained in PPE procedures. All staff working at the service had received their COVID-19 vaccination. New admissions required confirmation of a negative COVID-19 test, and visitors were asked to provide proof of a negative lateral flow device test on arrival. Information about hand hygiene and PPE use was displayed throughout the service, and social distancing was encouraged in communal areas with appropriate spacing between seating. Cleaning regimes had been strengthened to ensure high touch surfaces were cleaned more regularly.
