The Grange

The Grange is a residential care home providing personal care to up to 14 people in a single storey building. It offers short-term intermediate care rehabilitation, known as 'step-down care', for people transitioning from hospital to their own homes or more permanent residential care. The service supports people living with dementia, physical disability and sensory impairment. At inspection, nine people were using the service.

Governance processes were not adequately utilised to ensure effective management and oversight. There was no evidence of learning from accidents and incidents, and the provider's monitoring system had not identified these gaps. Discrepancies existed between the service's record keeping for accidents.
